cookwear for cooking on an open fire and on a bbq grill, and why?

I already use tin foil and I have a cast iron dutch oven. But we're going to be "camping" long term, possible permanently. Some things will need some sort of cookwear. I've been told that the enamelwear is good, but that was by a person I have never known to bbq or camp. So I'm not so sure about their recomendation.

I use a few items....
-A nice sturdy tea kettle (no plastic anywhere) & good teapot
-a medium sized cast iron skillet
-a nice cooking grate/bbq grate (assuming you are going to cook over hardwoods & NOT softwoods)
Once enamelware cracks, its screwed... cast iron is very sturdy & i've had great luck with them (although they take some extra care) -

My current kitchen is one of those stainless steel kits with a big boiling pan, lid, small boiling pot, couple of plates, and a small fry pan (which I don;t use). The whole thing fits into the big boiling pan with room for some food.
I don;t care for cast iron. Too heavy. I just use an old frying pan that has had the teflon cooked out of it.
The trick for using a non-teflon pan and keeping it from sticking is to add oil, bring it up to temperature (you should just see a tinge or two of smoke when it reaches temp.) Then cook. The expanding metal takes on the oil.
The other trick is to not cook over open flame. Build a 4-6" bed of coals and cook over that. Flame is inconsistent in temperature, coals are steady.
