Gonna go snow camping in the Grahams (The Pinalenos actually.) Not gonna climb to the peak, just get back into the snow. It's snowing like hell there right now. Anyone live in the area? How far back do they close the gate?
Think we'll light pack it. Since we don;t have to carry water we'll be light fer sure. Water is a big thing in the desert. Makes fifty lbs eighty lbs real quick. Snow makes good coffee.

Re: Snow camping in the Grahams
Wed, February 13, 2008 - 8:07 PMThere was a few feet of snow. It was cold, my 4 season tent only works as well as a 2 season (it's 20 years old!) and my bag is only rated for 15 degrees. I guess I need to gear up. My stuff is all geared towards warmer weather.
I'll post a few of the pics.
