Hi all, new here and looking for good referrals for camping areas in the Pacific Northwest. Mostly western Washington, but some western Oregon too. We'll be going light and mostly tent camping, hiking, don't need a lot of ameneties either but must be dog friendly. We can go full service campgrounds or wilderness style.
Any recomendations? Thanks!

Wed, March 18, 2009 - 2:22 PMSol Duc trail to Seven Lakes Basin in Olympic National Park is wonderful - then you can take a soak at Sol Duc hot springs on your way back to ease your tired bones.

My hubby and I also did an amazing backpacking trip in North Cascades NP along the Copper Ridge Trail and camped at Boundary Camp and Egg Lake.

It's probably dated, but a good start. -

Fri, March 20, 2009 - 9:17 PMThanks Sweet P and Quaydin! I love all the referrals I can get. But, yes, it MUST be a dog friendly place. I never leave my dog at home.
