We were in the Graham mountainsd this weekend, hiking the springline (and no, when the water bubbles up out of the ground Idon't bother treating it.)
Along one of the springs we saw something interesting. The water popped out of the spring and flowed for about twenty feet before dissapearing into a hole. If we searched the area we found the water popping up some distance away from one of these holes. We were trying tofigure out how these subterranian water lines were formed when we realized that during the drought the local fuzzies had dug their tunnels closer and closer to the spring in search of water. When the monsoon season came along, their holes were flooded, creating these water pipelines that diverted flow in all directions. Cool.
